I have been sharing links to blog posts of other participants at the recent International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference in Denver via my Twitter account and thought it was time to share my own impressions of this event. This was my second ISTE conference (formerly NECC) which I was privileged to attend and I found this to be an even more rewarding experience than my previous conference. Many of you know that I presented at the LEA Convocation this past week on the 21st century skill set our students will need for their future success. That presentation, in my mind, is just a beginning step in the discussion in which all educators should be participating as together we try to make sense of these emerging technologies and apply them to education and ministry in God-pleasing ways. Interestingly, already today I've come across an article that also relates to these skills, and no doubt many more will follow.

Another valuable Technology in Lutheran Schools conversation has led to the discovery of some new resources for Scratch, programming software for students created by MIT. While I haven't had the chance to spend as much time with this software as I would like, I intend to use this with students for the first time during the second semester.
