There are a number of programs available that allow you to do a screen capture, but having it built into the OS is great. The snipping tool is a nice utility that allows you to "snip" any portion of your screen.

Just select the "scissors" icon and select any portion of your screen for snipping. Once snipped the image is copied to your clipboard for pasting, can be saved to your hard disk or emailed out using your email client. This will be a great tool to use for helping to diagnose computer problems when talking with customers. It is also very handy for creating tutorials and user guides. All of the images in my last several posts were captured using the "Snipping Tool"
