The struggle for me (and likely others) is to find a way to make this page work for me. It is so easy to add little gadgets that the page can get out of hand very quickly. One desirable feature found on Google
is that I can add tabs, similar to a tabbed browser. I'm finding that I
get what I want and need as far as information much easier if I set
tabs based on key interests, such as general information, news,
education, etc., and then make sure that the content I add doesn't drop
below the visible page. Call me lazy, but scrolling is an added effort
that I don't always want to take!
I'm always looking for the most efficient ways to access information. The reason I'm gravitating more toward Google is that I'm very pleased with Google Reader and the way it organizes my news feeds. I can add a news feed module to my Google home page, which is very handy.
Here is a blog post that alerted me to some of the changes to Google.
What
are some other techniques you use to organize information? Share some
of those ideas with me and others as a comment to this post.
