Alan shares some thoughts about some of the hardware and software tools he has encountered. He also makes the case for a more aggressive and active approach to teacher training and staff development -- that the time for passively accepting that some educators are going to resist change is gone, and that we risk falling further behind in our efforts to best prepare our students for their futures if we don't move forward with more zest and zeal. He also shares the joy of seeing his faculty start to buy in to a larger vision of where technology fits with driving necessary educational change to prepare the 21st century learner.

Keep up the good work, Alan!

Dave, Thaks for the kind words. I only saw the link to this blog post thanks to a tool in Flock on the "My World page. When I click on "Friend Activity" at the top of my Twitter column, it gives me an open pane on the left side of my Flock screen with the most recent post of all my (now over 100) Twitterers I'm following. I saw yours and clicked on the link and it brought me here. All of which is to say that since I started Twitter, I have learned so much just by "following" what all the other gurus are tweeting about. It has really opened up my eyes.
Now that I know someone else is reading my blog, I think I better go do some more catching up. Thanks, Alan Http://alanlutz.wordpress.com
