I've been reading a lot of different posts on blogs relating to educational technology and on Twitter which debate what a blog should be. Should blog posts be provocative, moving people to think about conceptual issues in new and visionary ways? Or should posts point readers to practical resources that may be used immediately in the classroom or professional world? Perhaps there should be a combination of both? Is a blog with a wide focus or a narrow focus of greater value to readers?

There are really two reasons why I blog. The first reason is that blogging is part of the discipline for me so that I keep learning and growing. If I feel as if I have an obligation to provide meaningful content for an audience, no matter how small that audience might be, that spurs me on to do the reading and research necessary to put together that content. Of course, I also blog because I want to add value in some way to other teachers in Lutheran schools and those serving in ministry capacities.

What content is most useful to you, the readers of LutheranTech? I'd love to hear from you on this topic!
