So I'm back to blogging, and here are some links of things I've recently found on the Internet:
- I watched our 3rd grade teacher effectively use this comic generator with her class today. Looks like a great way to incorporate some writing skills in a new way.
- If you are looking for additional educational links, here is another blog of mine which lists links that I've shared through LEA listservs.
- Want to know which passwords to avoid? Check out the 10 Most Common Passwords. It seems like we might have a role as educators in helping our students create strong passwords as we seek to share with them the importance of password security.
- Take a Google Literature Trip. This uses Google Earth to teach literature topics. I'd love to see something comprehensive like this for history. Wouldn't a Google Earth battlefield tour be fascinating?
- Here is yet another discussion on Wikipedia. The consensus that I'm starting to see (and that I think is appropriate) is that we should allow our students to use Wikipedia, but not as their only source, teaching them how to discern the truth of information from all sites, not just wikis.
